Things to bring & wear
In temperate rain forests, you should bring warm clothes to wear. Always make sure to wear many layers to stay warm, but if you warm up, just remove a few layers. In these forests, it is very moist, making cotton clothing not the best choice. Don't bring cotton clothing-it absorbs moisture rather than repels it.You can bring a hat. Also, take many pairs of socks with you since your shoes get wet often because of the temperature. Because rain is a possibility at all times (the weather can change quickly, depending on the moisture coming from the ocean), bring a rain jacket and rain pants. Rain pants are optional but recommended. If possible, it would be best to also bring waterproof shoes to prevent your shoes from becoming wet. It would be very useful if you brought insect repellent; the warm dampness of the temperate rain forests can result in an abundance of mosquitoes, black, deer, and horse flies.
